The Esmeralda Lagoon, located in the heart of Tierra del Fuego, is one of the most emblematic destinations for hiking and nature lovers. This trek offers a unique experience, combining landscapes of native forests, peat bogs and mountains that culminate in a lagoon of emerald waters, fed by the Ojo del Albino glacier. The tour begins approximately 18 kilometers from the city of Ushuaia, on National Route No. 3. The trail, of medium difficulty, extends for about 9 kilometers (round trip) and is completed in approximately 4 to 5 hours. During the hike, participants will cross lenga forests, peat bogs and rivers, enjoying panoramic views of the Fuegian Andes. When you arrive at the lagoon, you will be able to appreciate its characteristic emerald color, the result of glacial sediments.
