Penalties are applied based on how far in advance of the reservation date the cancellation is made:
31 days or more prior to the reservation date: 30% penalty.
Between 16 and 30 days prior: 50% penalty.
Between 8 and 15 days prior: 75% penalty.
Between 1 and 7 days prior: 100% penalty.
