About this tour

This excursion begins at the Port of Ushuaia, where passengers must check in and exchange their voucher to start the excursion to the penguin colony.

Once the departure time is completed, we will begin the bus trip east along National Route No. 3 until we reach the intersection of Provincial Route J to head back to the coast of the Beagle Channel and take the boat that will take us to the fascinating Martillo Island.

After about 20 minutes of zodiac navigation we will descend on the island where we will walk with the Magellanic and Gentoo penguins for 1 hour while a specialized guide will provide us with information about the life of these friendly birds.

After the visit in Isla Martillo we will return to the city, to meet again in the afternoon, in the same place where we checked in in the morning, to navigate the waters of the Beagle Channel, observe the marine fauna take the inevitable photo at the famous Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.

 

IMPORTANT:

  • In the event that Estancia Harberton provides services, the entrance fee must be paid to it, WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
  • Entrance fee to the stay to be confirmed.
  • On Tuesdays the Estancia is closed and the navigation departs from Puerto Almanza

Itinerary

Bus tour of Route N°3 and Route J

Upon arrival there will be a hike among Magellanic penguins and, occasionally, Gentoo penguins.

Return to the city and meet in the afternoon at the pier to board again.

Start of the journey with panoramic views of the city and the mountains.

Observation of various species of native birds in their natural habitat and sighting of one- and two-haired sea lions resting on the rocks.

Return to the starting point, enjoying panoramic views along the way.
