The Chaltén Full Day tour is perfect for those who want to explore the magic of El Chaltén, known as the “National Capital of Trekking” in Argentina. This tour will take you to spectacular views, hikes in the middle of nature and moments of tranquility in a picturesque town surrounded by imposing mountains such as Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.
With a duration of approximately 12 hours, this excursion combines adventure, unforgettable landscapes and the unique essence of Argentine Patagonia.
The day starts early, with pick-up from your hotel in El Calafate starting at 6:00 am. Along the way to El Chaltén, you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes. One of the highlights of the journey is Estancia La Leona, where you will have a short break to try homemade cakes and hot drinks while immersing yourself in the history and serenity of the place.
Another unforgettable stop is the Viedma Glacier Viewpoint, from where you can get panoramic views of the Viedma Glacier, Fitz Roy Hill and Torre Hill, as long as weather conditions allow it.
In El Chaltén, you will have 5 hours to explore the town and its surroundings. The main activities include low-difficulty hikes:
