In addition to penguins, other seabirds such as cormorants, ducks, gulls, terns, and also mammals such as sea lions and elephant seals, whales, dolphins, and seals can be observed during landings. <\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Once these islands are visited, the cruise will head south and cross the Antarctic Convergence, heading for the South Georgia Islands, a true sanctuary for wildlife and often compared to the Galapagos Islands, in terms of its diversity and biological importance. In addition to penguins, 80% of the planet&#8217;s Albatrosses nest on these islands, as well as petrels, terns and cormorants.
