I lived an unforgettable experience at the End of the World.
We depart from the tourist pier of Ushuaia and travel along Route 3 and Route J, surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers. We arrive at the picturesque Puerto Almanza, a place full of charm and nature.
From there we sail through the Beagle Channel to Martillo Island, where you can observe the Gentoo penguins up close. The sighting lasts about 40 minutes and takes place very close to the coast (without disembarkation).
📍 Meeting point: Onashaga office on the tourist pier.
⚠️ Presentation: 30 minutes before departure time.
🛑 Recommendation: being outdoors during the sighting, it is very important to wear warm and waterproof clothing. 🧣🧤
⚠️ The tour is not recommended for pregnant women or people with reduced mobility.
No, there is no disembarkation on this tour. Observation is done from the boat, a very short distance from the penguins, which allows you to see them in their natural environment without interfering with them.
A semi-rigid boat, safe and stable, is used, ideal for navigating the Beagle Channel and getting close to the penguin colony.
The tour lasts approximately 5 hours in total, including the land trip, navigation and observation time on Martillo Island.
Yes, they can participate, as long as they are in good health. However, it is not recommended for pregnant women or people with reduced mobility due to terrain and navigation conditions.
We recommend you bring a coat, hat, gloves and raincoat, as you will be outdoors during the sighting. It is also useful to bring a camera or cell phone to capture the best moments.
