Cruises to the South Atlantic Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula are the dream of all those who love animals and seek to explore the most pristine, wild and inhospitable places on the planet!

The journey begins with boarding in the mid-afternoon to navigate the famous Beagle Channel eastward towards the Atlantic Ocean, thus beginning the journey to the first stop. These islands, still in dispute over their sovereignty between Argentina and England, are an archipelago of open landscapes, rugged and irregular coasts, deep bays and coves that form excellent natural harbors, alternating stretches of high and steep cliffs with beaches of fine white sand.

These islands are home to abundant wildlife, including colonies of Magellanic Penguins, Rockhopper Penguins, Gentoo Penguins, and some small colonies of King Penguins. In addition to penguins, other seabirds such as cormorants, ducks, gulls, terns, and also mammals such as sea lions and elephant seals, whales, dolphins, and seals can be observed during landings.

Once these islands are visited, the cruise will head south and cross the Antarctic Convergence, heading for the South Georgia Islands, a true sanctuary for wildlife and often compared to the Galapagos Islands, in terms of its diversity and biological importance. These islands have the highest concentration of marine life on the planet.

Once in Georgia, you can see a landscape of rugged, glacier-covered mountains towering over beaches teeming with wildlife, colonies that boast thousands of King Penguins, the world’s largest population of Macaron Penguins, Gentoo Penguins, and Chinstrap Penguins. In addition to penguins, 80% of the planet’s Albatrosses nest on these islands, as well as petrels, terns and cormorants. Huge colonies of elephant seals and 95% of the world’s population of Antarctic Sea Lions can also be found here.

After visiting the wild paradise of the South Atlantic, the ship will head to Antarctica and sail through the famous and respected Drake Passage until it reaches the Antarctic Peninsula, where huge icebergs, blue glaciers and landscapes that do not seem to be from this planet welcome visitors who never cease to be amazed by the silence and immensity of a continent like no other.

During the visit to the Seventh Continent, daily zodiac landings will be made to navigate among the icebergs and discover the fauna that inhabits them, as well as to access land and visit the colonies of Gentoo Penguins, Chinstrap Penguins, Adélie Penguins; also elephant and sea lion colonies, and sighting other seabirds, as well as Leopard Seals, Crabeater Seals and Weddell Seals.
