Arrival at the park: At approximately 09:00 am, you will have time to walk the walkways of the Perito Moreno Glacier, which offer spectacular views of this ice giant.

From the Bajo las Sombras port (70 km from El Calafate), you will start a 20-minute navigation on Lake Rico, approaching the south face of the glacier.

  • Upon arrival at the refuge, the specialized mountain guides will welcome you and divide you into subgroups of a maximum of 20 people.
  • Equipment: You will be provided with crampons and helmets, and you will receive a short talk on safety and basic techniques for walking on the ice.

  • The trek lasts approximately 1 hour and a half on the glacier, where you will explore:

    • Blue sinkholes.
    • Natural cavities formed by the movement of ice.
  • During the tour, the guides will explain the dynamics of the glacier and its unique characteristics.
